LIPOSUCCION Liposculpture La liposculpture est particulièrement adaptée pour les femmes et les hommes ayant un poids relativement normal mais qui ont des poches de graisse isolées qui font que certaines parties de leurs corps paraissent disproportionnées par rapport au reste. Blepharoplasty / Brightening Up The Eyes & Removal Of Eye-Bags What it does This surgery will remove bags from under the eyes and excess skin from the eyelids. Double eyelids are created if desired. What it does not do Creases, such as crow's feet, will not be eradicated, though the lines will be softened. The operation does not improve cheek bags The procedure Operation is usually under local anesthetic. For the upper lid, the surgeon will take away a long ellipse of skin along the crease, bags are removed, double eyelids can be created, and although this leaves a long scar, is not noticeable. There are few types of face -lift operations, the older technique of lifting the skin only as practice by older generation of plastic surgeons gives an unnatural tight look, however newer techniques give much more dramatic improvement, at the same time looking natural. The Extended SMAS Lift (Or Deep Plane) This operation involves dissecting the SMAS layer right towards the nose, freeing it away from the cheek ligaments and then pulling it up to improve the look of the middle of the face, perking up sagging cheeks, flattening nose-to-mouth grooves and reducing jowls, as well as tightening the neck. This operation may produce less swelling than limited SMAS; fewer scars and recovery can be very quick. What it does not do Give you a different face Stop the ageing process How to prepare for the surgery You can do a lot to maximize the potential of a face-lift. You should be at a desired weight before you undertake a face-lift. If you need to, we suggest you lose weight before surgery. Smoking impairs circulation hence impairs healing. So stop smoking altogether if you can at least two weeks before the operation. Some vitamin C helps in healing hence take it regularly one week before surgery. Alcohol makes bruising worse so cut down on it. Aspirin interferes with blood clotting; so don't take any at least two weeks before and three weeks after surgery. (Many painkiller and flu remedies contain aspirin) The procedure The surgery is more comfortably done under general anesthetic, however; it can be safely done under local anesthetic. After surgery, you would have bandages and drains, which will be removed the next day. Stitches are removed 5 to 12 days later. Your face will feel bruised, swollen, tight, numb, and stiff for at least 10 days, you may feel depressed and miserable because you will look awful initially, although this will slowly subside by the day, you will begin to appreciate what a change you have. Sitting up or propping up helps to reduce swelling, and a cold compress applied often speeds up healing process. You can wash your hair a few days after surgery. Make-up can be applied after the stitches are taken out on the 5th day. Most people will be able to face the world 2 weeks after surgery, back to work 3 weeks after surgery. During the first three months, you are advised to avoid sport, any other strenuous activity or prolonged exposure to the sun It is important to keep the skin well moisturized. Endoscopic Forehead And Face-Lift This is the latest in face-lift surgery. With this method, the keyhole surgery technique is used. A special camera, TV monitors and instruments are used to perform the operation. The procedure Three small cuts are made in the scalp above the forehead, special instrument are used to lift the forehead with the help of the small camera and TV monitor, in the process, wrinkles and frown lines in the forehead are removed. Small cuts are also made just above the ear in the temple and behind the ear lobe; again special instruments and camera are introduced to perform the face-lift and neck-lift. With time, all this small scars will fade to almost invisible. Chin, Jaw Line And Neck Lift With aging, deep folds and wrinkles develop and make the chin, jaw line and neck less well defined; double chin and turkey gobble neck appearance makes a person look old. This procedure reverses the aging process by reposition the sagging muscles and fat pads; some of the fat is removed and the excess skin is removed by a clever cut which is not obviously visible. EARS Pinning Back Ears Ear surgery, or Otoplasty, is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of larger ears. For the most part, the surgery is done on children between the age of 4 and 14. Ear surgery on adults is also feasible. The procedure This operation is done under general anesthesia for children; bigger children or adults can be done under local anesthetic. A piece of skin is removed from the back of the ears and the cartilage is softened to allow it to fold back. Your ears will be bandaged and this will be taken out 7 to10 days later, meanwhile, your ears may feel sore or numb. After the bandages are removed, your ears will look swollen and red or bruise, this will settle in 2 weeks. They should be kept flat at night with a headband.
