Lasik Eye Surgery in the Pearl of the Orient
“Dear Mum, The view from Penang Hill is fantastic! The
sky is blue and the sun is shimmering over the sea far below!”
This is not an extract from any usual postcard. For the fantastic
view was not just a result of clear skies but also because
of cutting edge technology available today in the Far East.
This week, Beautiful Holidays – renowned for its specialised
surgical holidays is launching the “Lasik Holiday”.

Drew, a solicitor from London contacted Beautiful Holidays
about the possibility of a Lasik treatment in May this year.
“Within two days of my initial enquiry they responded
to me with clear and professional advice and recommendations”.”
“They were quick to determine if I was a suitable candidate
for Lasik”, says Drew. Following the advice given, Drew
went to a private clinic in London to have an initial consultation
and obtained a quotation for Lasik treatment for both eyes.
“In London the operation would have cost me £50
for the consultation and the treatment for both eyes would
cost me £2500”.

about the hospital where the procedure would be undertaken

complied with international standards”.
In September Drew fly to Penang with his fiancé, where
he underwent treatment at the renowned Island Hospital. “I
am delighted about the success of the operation,” says
Drew. “We had a lovely time exploring Penang although
the best thing to come out of my holiday is I don’t have
to wear glasses anymore! We’ll definitively be coming
back here again”.

public or private heath insurers so it makes sense to look
